Pritakshi Das

I am Pritakshi Das. I completed my Masters Degree in Neuroscience from Amity University in Noida in 2021 and completed my thesis work under the guidance of Prof. Kristen Harris at the University of Texas, Austin. During my time there, I contributed to several research projects and became particularly interested in how synapses change over time and contribute to learning and memory. My work in the Harris Lab involved investigating the role of mitochondria in synaptic plasticity. I honed my skills in data analysis and computational modelling techniques, which I utilize in my current research work.

Following this, I joined Prof. Deepak Nair’s group in 2022 and am currently working in collaboration with Prof. Anand Srivastava’s group in the Molecular Biophysics Unit at the Indian Institute of Science. Here I am involved in modeling reaction-diffusion systems to investigate the diffusion dynamics and phase separation in dendritic spines. My current project focuses on PSD-95, a postsynaptic scaffolding protein, investigating how post-translational modifications affect its conformation and dynamics using integrative modeling and MD simulations.
