Sriram Sankaranarayanan
Disclosure: This might be applicable.
Sriram Sankaranarayanan is an Assistant Professor at IIM Ahmedabad in the area of Operations and Decision Sciences. He is also the co-chairperson of the Brij Disa Centre for Data Science and AI. He completed his B.Tech at IIT Kharagpur before working at Deutsche Bank for two years. He then pursued a PhD at Johns Hopkins University and a post-doctoral fellowship at Polytechnique Montréal under the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Data Science for Real-Time Decision-Making.
His research is focused on two main areas. The first involves developing algorithms to address challenges arising from multi-firm interactions. His work includes designing algorithms for fair decision-making, finding solutions for Nash equilibria in non-cooperative games, and computing solution concepts for specific types of cooperative games. This research encompasses developing both exact and approximate algorithms and exploring computational complexity.
The second area of his research is centered on creating game-theoretic models to examine interactions among multiple firms within operational or supply chain contexts. He investigates unexpected behaviors of firms under various scenarios and explores policies that could enhance coordination among firms or improve overall welfare.
In recognition of his research, Sriram won the Vidya Varidhi Educational Foundation (VVEF) Outstanding Researcher of the Year Award at IIM Ahmedabad in March 2024.
