To improve structural design techniques and provide simple yet effective solutions to upgrade the resilience of structures under extreme events such as earthquakes and cyclones. To this end, I have been actively involved in projects encompassing earthquake engineering and structural dynamics to work on solutions meeting the economic/life-safety/environmental needs of society. I am particularly enthusiastic about exploring the evolving material and computing technologies suitable to improve structural monitoring, performance and potential retrofit requirements.
