Scientific skills & technical exposure:

•  Construction of mRNA vaccines: Target selection, Vector design, PCR, Transformation, Clone section, Purification, In vitro transcription, and Characterization by transfection studies (Western blot, flow cytometry, and microscopy). 

• Experienced in handling both primary and secondary cell cultures.

• Handling small animals (mouse/rats/hamsters), e.g. multiple routes of injections/treatments, necropsies, tissue processing, cell isolation, various routes of blood collection, and others.

• Experience in working a Biosafety Level 3 environment. During the pandemic vigorously handled the COVID-19 patient blood samples for further studies.

• Functional assay for blocking and activating T, B, DCs, and Basophils immune checkpoints.

• Optimized the CD4+ T cell differentiation (Th1, Th2, Th17 and Tregs) for screening activators and inhibitors for immunomodulation.

• Co-culture assays, like, DC-T cells and Basophils-Treg cells.

• Experience in basic molecular techniques, such as protein, DNA and RNA extraction from cells and tissues, performing SDS-PAGE, western blot, and PCR, RT-qPCR, primer design.
