I am a Sr. Applied Scientist at Amazon Web Services (AWS). My mission there is to meaningfully make a difference to customers by leveraging the cutting-edge in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (Computer-Vision and Audio). I was a part of the teams that developed and shipped AI/ML models for the Amazon Chime SDK, Amazon Lookout for Equipment and the Amazon Monitron services at AWS.

Previously, I completed my PhD (2018) and MS (2014) in Elenctrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, USA, under the guidance of Prof. P. P. Vaidyanathan. I completed my BTech (2012) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay, India. 

My recent projects at AWS were in the domains of Computer Vision and Audio Processing. Previosuly, my PhD research was at the intersection of Digital Signal Processing and Number Theory (Ramanujan Sums). I am generally interested in learning about and solving any problem that can make the world a better place, even if by a little :)
