This research project is part of the Master's program "Social Anthropology" at the University of Oslo (UiO) and was conducted by Olivia Schneider. The aim of this project is to investigate the needs of and challenges migrant(s and) sex workers in Malta face in regards to accessing health care in general and sexual and reproductive health care services and knowledge specifically.
The methodology of this study was primarily based on 26 semi-structured qualitative interviews with relevant local stakeholders. Fieldwork in Malta took place from June to November 2022 with an additional small follow up project in July 2023.
The thesis was submitted and defended in Autumn 2023 and received the grade A. The full text is available here and on ResearchGate.
