Peak-One (re)Launched
Students can now search technical reports and SP papers at https://lib.ics.uplb.edu.ph. The project was originally developed for SRG internal use but was endorsed to be used for the whole institute. The project is sponsored by the ICS Library Committee headed by Ariel Doria. SRG student Miguel Galvez made a lot of improvements to the app. The code is available here. (Photo from ICS FB Page)

Sir LK published "LabGIS: A Real Estate Property Geographical Information System (GIS) for Local Government Units" in the 9th volume of the Philippine e-Journal for Applied Research and Development (PeJARD), with Prof. Danilo J. Mercado and Prof. Jaime M. Samaniego as co-authors.

Cybersecurity Awareness Webinar
We delivered a webinar on Cybersecurity Awareness to provide UPLB employees some guidance as they transition to a work-from-home setup. The webinar is part of the ICS Webinar Series held last November 2020. You can watch the recording on YouTube.

SRG members to present at the 12th UPLB-CAS Student-Faculty Research Conference
UPLB-CAS SFRC is an annual research conference organized by the College of Arts and Sciences to provide a venue for students and faculty to present their research results and research that are in progress. It will be held on November 18, 2019 in UPLB. The following presentations are authored or co-authored by the indicated SRG members.

Team CLK_TCK=30 advances to the finals of Trend Micro's uCTF 2019
The competition is organized by Trend Micro to promote cybersecurity among college students. The CLK_TCK=30 team is composed of Lorenzo Paulo A. Basilla, Lyca L. Macaraig, and Jandrel Ian F. Valerio. They are currently taking CMSC 191: Special Topics (Computer and Network Security).
SRG member to present at the UC Faculty Forum
The Southeast Asian University Consortium for Graduate Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC) First Faculty Forum is being organized to distill thoughts and perspectives in responding to the issues and challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Miyah D. Queliste will present her work on ASVs in the said event. The forum will be held on July 23-24, 2019 at the SEARCA Umali Auditorium, University of the Philippines Los Baños, College, Laguna.
SRG member selected to participate in SenseDev19
SenseDev19 is a one-week summer school for research capacity-building in wireless sensor networks (WSN) and the Internet of Things (IoT). Christopher Claude S. Templado, together with Bernadette Pelaez, was selected to participate in the event. The summer school will be held on 22-26 July 2019 at University of San Carlos, Cebu City, Philippines.
SRG member selected for internship at KAIST SoC
The objective of the internship is to develop research partnership between Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology School of Computing labs and Computer Science labs in Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines. Joseph Anthony C. Hermocilla will spend eight weeks (June 24-August 16, 2019) at the Computer Architecture Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Youngjin Kwon to conduct research activities related to operating systems.
