If you want to replace worn-out ear tips on your JBL TUNE120 series for a deeper seal and better bass, choose Sqrmekoko 3; if you need a reliable lanyard to keep your JBL Vibe or Tune 230NC buds from slipping into the couch cushions during a run, choose GEEKRIA Earbuds Magnetic Anti-Lost. These are two distinct accessories solving completely different problems for the same ecosystem of headphones, and picking the wrong one leaves you with either a loose fit or a lost pair of buds.
• Sqrmekoko 3: Offers a snug, noise-isolating seal with high-grade silicone that improves audio quality but is strictly limited to the JBL TUNE120, T125, and T120 models.
• GEEKRIA Earbuds Magnetic Anti-Lost: Provides a secure neck-worn tether for active use across a wide range of JBL models like the Tune 230NC and Vibe Beam, though it adds no acoustic isolation.
• Best For: Buy Sqrmekoko 3 if your earbuds have lost their grip or sound muddy due to worn tips; buy GEEKRIA if you constantly lose track of your buds while moving around.
The Sqrmekoko 3 replacement eartips are designed for a very specific scenario: when your original silicone tips have stretched out, cracked, or simply stopped sealing properly. If you own the JBL TUNE120, TUNE125, or T120 TWS earbuds, this product addresses the most common complaint about these specific models over time—the degradation of the foam or rubber seal. This material choice is critical for anyone who wears glasses, as the temple arms can sometimes press against standard hard plastics or stiff gels, causing pain after an hour of listening. These tips are engineered to be gentle on the ears, ensuring that long listening sessions do not result in irritation where the ear cup meets the frame of your spectacles.
The primary functional advantage here is the "tightly sealed design." When a replacement tip creates a perfect vacuum seal inside the ear canal, it blocks outside noise passively and forces more bass response through the driver. You aren't just buying a piece of plastic; you are buying back the immersive audio experience that was present when the earbuds were new. If your current tips feel loose or let too much ambient noise in, the Sqrmekoko 3 set provides an immediate fix without needing to buy new headphones. The package includes six eargels (three pairs), which is a practical detail often overlooked. Having backups means you can rotate them if one gets dirty or damaged, keeping your JBL earbuds performing at their best for years rather than months. Installation is tool-free, meaning you can swap them out in seconds to restore that secure fit instantly.
However, this product is not for everyone. It will not work on any other brand of earbuds, nor will it fit the newer JBL Tune 230NC or Vibe Beam models. If you have a different model, these tips are useless to you. Furthermore, if your issue is not the ear tip itself but the loss of the physical earbud, this accessory cannot help. It is purely a comfort and audio-quality upgrade for a specific legacy line of JBL products. It is also worth noting that while they improve the seal, they do not add active noise cancellation features; they simply rely on the passive isolation provided by the physical barrier.

The GEEKRIA Earbuds Magnetic Anti-Lost strap serves a completely different purpose: it acts as a safety tether for your earbuds. If you are the type of person who takes your buds out to talk to someone at the gym, drops them on the floor while cleaning, or lets them dangle loosely around your neck only to find them missing later, this accessory is the solution. It is compatible with a broad array of models including the JBL Vibe Beam, Tune Flex, Tune 230NC, Live Pro 2, Vibe 200TWS, Tune Beam, Tune 225TWS, Vibe Flex, and Quantum TWS. This versatility makes it a valuable asset for households with multiple JBL devices or for users who switch between different JBL models.
The core value proposition here is security during movement. Whether you are running, working out at the gym, or just walking around the house, hanging your earbuds around your neck is convenient, but leaving them unattached invites disaster. The GEEKRIA strap keeps them securely connected to each other, preventing the "one bud falls behind the sofa" tragedy. The material is soft silicone, weighing in at just 9 grams, so the added bulk is negligible. It is lightweight enough that you won't feel the weight dragging on your neck during a workout. There is also a microphone opening at the bottom of the strap, which suggests thoughtful design for users who might need to access controls or ensure the mic isn't obstructed by the strap itself. The package includes two straps, giving you a backup or allowing you to equip multiple pairs of earbuds if you have them.
This product is specifically for those who prioritize convenience and anti-loss protection over acoustic modification. It does not change how the sound feels or how the earbud fits; it only changes how the earbud is carried. If you wear glasses, the strap ensures that even if you take the buds off and hang them, they won't get tangled in your glasses' arms or fall out of reach. However, it is important to remember that this is an accessory, not a headphone. The description explicitly states that it includes only the anti-lost rope and no headphones. If you are looking for a way to make your audio louder or clearer, this strap will not provide that benefit. It is purely a physical safeguard for your investment.
• Best for replacing worn-out parts: Choose Sqrmekoko 3 if your current ear tips are cracked, hard, or loose, specifically for the TUNE120/125/120 series.
• Best for active sports and travel: Choose GEEKRIA Earbuds Magnetic Anti-Lost if you frequently move around and need to prevent your buds from getting lost or tangled.
• Best for audio clarity and bass: Choose Sqrmekoko 3 because the tight seal directly enhances the bass response and noise isolation of your existing drivers.
• Best for multi-model compatibility: Choose GEEKRIA Earbuds Magnetic Anti-Lost as it works with a vast list of JBL models including the 230NC, Vibe, and Quantum series.
• Best for glasses wearers seeking comfort: Choose Sqrmekoko 3 if your current fit causes pressure points from worn-down silicone, as these are softer and more flexible.
• Best for peace of mind: Choose GEEKRIA Earbuds Magnetic Anti-Lost if your main anxiety is misplacing a single earbud in public or at home.
• Best value for longevity: Choose Sqrmekoko 3 to extend the life of your current earbuds by restoring the factory-sealed performance.
• Best for hands-free convenience: Choose GEEKRIA Earbuds Magnetic Anti-Lost to easily toggle between wearing and hanging your buds without losing them.
In my opinion, the right choice depends entirely on whether your problem is how the earbuds sit in your ear or where they go when you take them out. If you are struggling with a poor seal, muffled sound, or discomfort from aging tips on your JBL TUNE120 series, I would grab the Sqrmekoko 3 immediately. It solves a functional deficit that degrades your daily listening experience. However, if you own a newer model like the Tune 230NC or Vibe Beam and your main struggle is keeping track of the buds when you aren't wearing them, the GEEKRIA magnetic strap is the superior investment. For me personally, as someone who wears glasses and often finds myself dropping things, the GEEKRIA strap offers a more universal peace of mind, but the Sqrmekoko 3 is the only option that actually improves the sound quality of older units. Ultimately, if you have to pick one for a general user who values audio fidelity and has older gear, the Sqrmekoko 3 wins; if the priority is never losing a bud again, the GEEKRIA strap is the clear winner.
No, the Sqrmekoko 3 tips are exclusively designed for the JBL TUNE120, TUNE125, and T120 TWS models. They will not fit other JBL lines like the Tune 230NC or Live Pro 2.
No, the GEEKRIA product is an accessory only. It includes two anti-lost silicone straps but does not include any headphones or earbuds.
Yes, because they are designed to create a tight seal that blocks outside noise and enhances bass response, effectively restoring the audio performance of worn-out original tips.
The strap is made of soft silicone and weighs only 9 grams, making it lightweight and durable enough for activities like running, cleaning, or working out without feeling bulky.
