SQLGuard is a browser extension designed to analyze SQL queries for security risks, errors, and dangerous patterns directly in the user's browser.
We are committed to protecting user privacy and minimizing the information handled by SQLGuard.
SQLGuard may access SQL query text and relevant content from supported SQL editors when the user asks the extension to analyze a query.
SQL analysis is performed locally in the browser whenever possible. SQL queries are not intentionally uploaded to SQLGuard servers for analysis.
SQLGuard may store information locally in the browser, including:
Extension settings and preferences
Local usage information needed to enforce free validation limits
Local Pro entitlement state
Extension configuration
This information is used to operate the extension and provide its features.
SQLGuard offers optional Pro features through a third-party payment service.
When a user purchases a Pro subscription, payment processing is handled by the payment provider. SQLGuard does not directly receive or store the user's full payment card number, CVV, or other complete payment-card credentials.
The payment provider may process information such as an email address, payment information, billing information, subscription status, and transaction information as necessary to process payments and manage subscriptions.
Payment-related information is handled according to the payment provider's own privacy policy and terms.
SQLGuard does not sell user data.
SQLGuard does not intentionally share SQL queries with third parties for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
Information may be processed by third-party services when necessary to provide requested functionality, such as payment processing and subscription management.
SQLGuard is designed with privacy and data minimization in mind.
SQL query analysis is performed locally in the browser, and SQL queries are not intentionally transmitted to SQLGuard servers for analysis.
Users should nevertheless understand that information displayed in a supported website may be accessible to the extension when the extension is authorized to operate on that website.
Information stored locally by SQLGuard remains in the user's browser until it is removed by the extension, the user, or the browser.
Payment and subscription records may be retained by the payment provider according to its own policies and legal requirements.
SQLGuard may use third-party services for payment and subscription management.
These services may process information necessary to provide their services. SQLGuard does not control the privacy practices of independent third-party providers.
SQLGuard is not specifically directed toward children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy when SQLGuard's features, services, or legal requirements change.
The updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
