The server installation section describes a single-node SonarQube instance from the ZIP file or from the Docker image. For a Kubernetes installation, see Deploy SonarQube on Kubernetes. For details on clustered setup, see Install the server as a cluster.

For optimal performance, the SonarQube server and database should be installed on separate hosts, and the server host should be dedicated. The server and database hosts should be located on the same network.

The Apache HTTP server is the most widely-used web server in the world. It provides many powerful features including dynamically loadable modules, robust media support, and extensive integration with other popular software.

Before you begin this guide, you will need an Ubuntu 22.04 server set up with a non-root user with sudo privileges and a firewall enabled to block non-essential ports. You can learn how to do this by following our Initial server setup guide for Ubuntu 22.04.

When using the Apache web server, you can use virtual hosts (similar to server blocks in Nginx) to encapsulate configuration details and host more than one domain from a single server. We will set up a domain called your_domain, but you should replace this with your own domain name.

The simplest way to deploy Kasm Workspaces is to install all application services on a single server. End-usersessions will also be provisioned on this server. All interior docker communication occurs within the singleserver and there are no special configurations required.

When you first create a new server, there are a few configuration steps that you should take early on as part of the basic setup. This will increase the security and usability of your server and will give you a solid foundation for subsequent actions.

Complete the login process by accepting the warning about host authenticity, if it appears, then providing your root authentication (password or private key). If it is your first time logging into the server, with a password, you will also be prompted to change the root password.

Now that we have our new account, we can secure our server a little bit by modifying its SSH daemon configuration (the program that allows us to log in remotely) to disallow remote SSH access to the root account.

Here, we have the option to disable root login through SSH. This is generally a more secure setting since we can now access our server through our normal user account and escalate privileges when necessary.

Open a new terminal window. In the new window, we need to begin a new connection to our server. This time, instead of using the root account, we want to use the new account that we created.

If you are not sure what you want to do with your server, check out the next tutorial in this series for Additional Recommended Steps for New CentOS 7 Servers. It covers things like enabling fail2ban to reduce the effectiveness of brute force attacks, basic firewall settings, NTP, and swap files. It also provides links to tutorials that show you how to set up common web applications.

When creating a new CentOS 7 server, there are some basic tasks that you should take to ensure that your server is secure and configured properly. This tutorial series will go over connecting to your server and general security best practices, and will also provide links to articles that will help you to start running your own web server or application.

It makes more sense to copy the ssh-key with the command ssh-copy-id -i ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub demo@SERVER_IP_ADDRESS to the server. As a result, the necessary directories and files are created automatically and using the correct file permissions.

I am setting up the server for the first time. Trying to login as root first and Putty gives this error:Disconnected: No supported authentication methods available. Server sent: publickey,gssapi-with-mic,password

I'm trying to install Ubuntu Server 20.04 on a remote server. Problem is, I cannot attach a USB drive and the hosting provider does not allow me to mount ISO images, all I have is a pre-installed Ubuntu system.

The following procedures help you install an Apache web server with PHP and MySQL support on your Amazon Linux instance (sometimes called a LAMP web server or LAMP stack). You can use this server to host a static website or deploy a dynamic PHP application that reads and writes information to a database.

If you are trying to set up a LAMP web server on a different distribution, such as Ubuntu or Red Hat Enterprise Linux, this tutorial will not work. For Amazon Linux 2, see Install LAMP on Amazon Linux 2. For Ubuntu, see the following Ubuntu community documentation: ApacheMySQLPHP. For other distributions, see their specific documentation.

Some applications may not be compatible with the following recommended software environment. Before installing these packages, check whether your LAMP applications are compatible with them. If there is a problem, you may need to install an alternative environment. For more information, see The application software I want to run on my server is incompatible with the installed PHP version or other software

Test your web server. In a web browser, type the public DNS address (or the public IP address) of your instance. You can get the public DNS address for your instance using the Amazon EC2 console. If there is no content in /var/www/html, you should see the Apache test page. When you add content to the document root, your content appears at the public DNS address of your instance instead of the test page.

A web server running the HTTP protocol provides no transport security for the data that it sends or receives. When you connect to an HTTP server using a web browser, the URLs that you visit, the content of webpages that you receive, and the contents (including passwords) of any HTML forms that you submit are all visible to eavesdroppers anywhere along the network pathway. The best practice for securing your web server is to install support for HTTPS (HTTP Secure), which protects your data with SSL/TLS encryption.

If your server is installed and running, and your file permissions are set correctly, your ec2-user account should be able to create a PHP file in the /var/www/html directory that is available from the internet.

If you get a "Permission denied" error when trying to run this command, try logging out and logging back in again to pick up the proper group permissions that you configured in Step 1: Prepare the LAMP server.

The default installation of the MySQL server has several features that are great for testing and development, but they should be disabled or removed for production servers. The mysql_secure_installation command walks you through the process of setting a root password and removing the insecure features from your installation. Even if you are not planning on using the MySQL server, we recommend performing this procedure.

You should now have a fully functional LAMP web server. If you add content to the Apache document root at /var/www/html, you should be able to view that content at the public DNS address for your instance.

We do not recommend using phpMyAdmin to access a LAMP server unless you have enabled SSL/TLS in Apache; otherwise, your database administrator password and other data are transmitted insecurely across the internet. For security recommendations from the developers, see Securing your phpMyAdmin installation.

For more information about registering a domain name for your web server, or transferring an existing domain name to this host, see Creating and Migrating Domains and Subdomains to Amazon Route 53 in the Amazon Route 53 Developer Guide.

To use a dedicated server for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, install a local instance of the SQL Server Database Engine when you install Integration Services. Integration Services typically stores packages in an instance of the Database Engine and relies on SQL Server Agent for scheduling those packages. If the ETL server doesn't have an instance of the Database Engine, you have to schedule or run packages from a server that does have an instance of the Database Engine. As a result, the packages aren't running on the ETL server, but instead on the server from which they're started. As a result, the resources of the dedicated ETL server aren't being used as intended. Furthermore, the resources of other servers may be strained by the running ETL processes

Use the desktop clients to keep your files synchronized between your Nextcloud server and your desktop. Select one or more directories on your local machine and always have access to your latest files wherever you are. Learn more about our clients here.

The Web Installer is the easiest way to install Nextcloud on a web space. It checks the dependencies, downloads Nextcloud from the official server, unpacks it with the right permissions and the right user account. Finally, you will be redirected to the Nextcloud installer.

The archive should be extracted in a folder your web server has access to. Latest stable version: see Changelog.

Follow the Nextcloud Admin Manuals installation chapter.

If you already run Nextcloud, refer to the upgrade manual.

I want to install SQL server on my pc, but when I am try to give path for installation, I am getting this error, the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\ is not valid installation folder, I tried other drives but still no result.

For each syslog server you add, you specify the log message format. The Firebox can send log messages in two log formats: Syslog or IBM LEEF. To send log messages to a syslog server, specify the Syslog log format. To send log messages to an IBM QRadar server, specify the IBM LEEF log format. For the IBM LEEF log format, you have the option to include syslog headers. ff782bc1db
