Signal Meter: Device Scan ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy describes how we process information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
1. INFORMATION WE PROCESS (LOCAL ONLY) Signal Meter is built with a "Privacy-First" architecture. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data or personally identifiable information (PII). All analysis is performed locally on your device.
Local Network Scanning: To identify potential network-connected devices, the App scans your current Wi-Fi network for open ports. This scanning is done entirely on your device. No IP addresses, router details, or network names are recorded or transmitted to external servers.
Magnetic Field Analysis (Magnetometer): The App utilizes your device’s hardware magnetometer to detect magnetic field variations. This sensor data is processed in real-time to provide intensity readings and is never stored.
Bluetooth Signal Detection: The App scans for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals to identify unknown devices. This data is used solely to calculate signal strength (RSSI) and is not linked to any user identity.
No Images or Audio: Unlike other utility apps, Signal Meter does NOT require access to your camera or microphone, ensuring that your visual and auditory privacy is 100% protected.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION Since we do not collect personal data, we do not use your information for advertising, tracking, or profiling. The data processed locally is used exclusively to:
Analyze local signal variations.
Map network-connected devices for local network analysis.
Provide real-time feedback on magnetic intensity.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Apple In-App Purchases: All financial transactions and subscription payments are handled exclusively by Apple. We never see or store your credit card or billing information.
RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage and validate your premium subscription status. RevenueCat uses an anonymous identifier to ensure your "PRO" features are active but does not have access to your personal identity or Apple ID.
4. DATA RETENTION We do not retain any user data because we do not collect it. All scanning results, IP lists, and signal logs are temporary and are permanently cleared the moment you close the App.
5. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13, as we do not collect data from any user regardless of age.
6. COMPLIANCE WITH APPLE GUIDELINES This App is a technical utility tool intended to assist in the analysis of electronic signals. It is not a guaranteed security solution. We do not guarantee the detection of all devices due to technical limitations of mobile hardware.
