After her father’s arrest, Jenny Burton took on the identity of Sarah Walker, with the idea of disappearing and making a life for herself, leaning on the lessons of deception and lies her father had taught. However, when she went to retrieve the money her father left for her, she found a stranger waiting there for her - the Doctor. Jack Burton, in one of his many cons, had managed to get his hands on a piece of alien tech. With Sarah’s help, the Doctor recovered it before the entire planet could be sucked into a separate universe and, not wanting to leave the girl alone in the world, the Doctor offered her a trip in the TARDIS. After years of wanting to go on adventures with her father, adventures were finally what she could have.

Eight years later, Sarah was still traveling with the Doctor when they happened across a rumor of futuristic software being used by the CIA and NSA to implant intel into operatives. Although they were able to track the Intersect technology to the home of a young man named Chuck Bartowski, he’d already become the target of an NSA fixer, John Casey. Saving Chuck from the NSA, who mistakenly thought he had the Intersect, and certain that he wouldn’t survive if he stayed, the Doctor offered to drop him off a few years in the future, when he would no longer be a target. Not wanting to put his sister and best friend at risk, but hating the thought of them thinking that he picked up and left, Chuck reluctantly agreed.

However, the Doctor’s never been known for accuracy; one trip turned into two, and two into three, and three into... you get the idea. As the years passed, the two companions fell in love on their travels. Sarah found family, Chuck found purpose, and neither ever wanted to stop...
