SproutTalk provides English learning adventures for children ages 4–9 and their families. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app. SproutTalk is operated by Runze Liu ("we", "us", or "our").
No account is required. The app does not ask for a child's name, email address, exact date of birth, or other contact details.
The app stores the following information locally on your device:
The selected age group and whether initial setup has been completed.
Lesson progress, completed lessons, stickers, and badges.
Counts of speaking attempts, which indicate participation rather than pronunciation accuracy.
Interface language and sound preferences.
Whether learning reminders are enabled and the selected reminder time.
Whether the Full Adventure purchase has been unlocked.
This information supports age-appropriate activities, resuming lessons, displaying rewards, remembering preferences, scheduling reminders, and providing access to purchased content. The current app does not upload learning records or preferences to our servers, and we do not provide an account-based cloud synchronization service.
Speaking activities encourage children to say a phrase and then continue. The current app does not record, recognize, upload, or score their voices and does not request microphone access. It does not request camera, contacts, or location access.
The app reads the device's time zone locally to schedule reminders. It does not use GPS location for this purpose.
Lesson images and audio are included in the app, so learning activities can be used offline. The current app contains no advertising, third-party advertising trackers, or analytics service. We do not sell learning records or use them for targeted advertising.
Purchases and purchase restoration are handled by the platform store, such as Apple's App Store or Google Play, and require a connection to that service. The app may also contact the store to check availability and retrieve product information.
The store processes account, payment, and transaction information under its own privacy policy. The app receives purchase status and transaction information through the store's purchasing interface and saves the unlock status locally. We do not receive your payment card details. The current app does not send purchase receipts to a server operated by us.
Restoring a purchase restores access to purchased content; it does not transfer locally stored learning progress to another device.
A parent can enable a daily local learning reminder. Notification permission is requested after the parent chooses and confirms a reminder time. Reminders are scheduled on the device rather than sent by a remote push-notification service. Parents can change or disable reminders in the app's Parents area or disable notification permission in device settings.
A parent can choose to share a learning card through the device's system share sheet. The app creates a PNG image in temporary storage and passes it to the app or destination selected by the parent. The card contains lesson content and a sticker reference; it does not contain a child's name, voice recording, or pronunciation score.
The selected destination handles the shared image under its own privacy terms. Copies saved or sent outside SproutTalk are controlled by you and that destination.
Local progress and preferences remain in the app's storage until that data is removed. To remove them, delete the app and its data, or clear its storage where your operating system supports this. Offloading an app while retaining its data does not remove those records.
Temporary learning-card files may remain until replaced or cleared by the operating system or removal of app data. Deleting SproutTalk does not delete cards already shared elsewhere or transaction records held by the platform store.
Device backups may include app data depending on your operating system and backup settings. Backup storage, restoration, and deletion are governed by those services and settings.
Parents can manage sound, language, and reminder preferences in the Parents area and manage permissions through device settings. We cannot access local learning records remotely to inspect or delete them on your behalf.
For questions about this policy or assistance with privacy choices, contact 1414556676@qq.com. Please do not include a child's name, voice recording, or other unnecessary personal information in your message. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and enquiry. We use it to respond to your request and retain it only as needed to handle the enquiry and any applicable obligations.
We will update this policy when the app's data practices change and revise the date above. Where a change requires notice or permission, we will provide it before the relevant processing begins.
