1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Sprout Journal (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) deals with information when you install and use the Sprout Journal mobile application and related services. By using the app, you agree to the terms below.
2. Information in the App
Sprout Journal is built so your journal stays on your phone.
Your journal data: Anything you add in the app—plant names, photos, planting dates, watering logs, notes, and app settings (e.g. dark mode)—is stored only on your device. We do not collect, send, or store this information on our servers.
Optional support: If you use in-app support options, payment is processed by Google Play. We do not see your payment information. We may receive limited, non-personal data about support transactions as permitted by Google.
Emailing us: If you contact us at sproutjournal-support@gmail.com, we use your email and message only to respond. We do not use this for marketing unless you give clear consent.
3. Use of Information
To provide the app’s features: plant profiles, watering history, journal, and statistics.
To reply to messages sent to sproutjournal-support@gmail.com.
We do not sell your information. We do not use your plant or journal data for advertising.
4. Storage and Deletion
All plant and journal data remains on your device. You can delete individual plants or use “Delete All Data” in the app at any time. We do not retain a separate copy of this data.
5. Other Services
Google Play: Installing the app and any in-app purchases are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Links or in-app browser: The app may open web pages (e.g. this policy). Those sites may have their own privacy practices; we recommend reading them.
We do not provide your plant or journal data to third parties for marketing or analytics.
6. Under 13
Sprout Journal is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us at sproutjournal-support@gmail.com.
7. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
