Fish and fowl are present all year long, although when the pond freezes during the winter, not as visible. Activity calendar for the Friendship Centre indicate varied events throughout the year, from community meals around certain holidays, a casual drop-in happy hour on weekends in summer, card games, competitive pool and snooker, and a kitchen to store food items in a refrigerator, or prepare or warm meals in the oven or microwave.
