YFCP Spring II Schedule
"Play & Learn" Groups (1-6)
Schedule in Sutton: Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday 9:15 - 10:30 & 10:45 - 12:00 and Friday 9:15 - 10:30
Where: YFCP Family Center, 13 Providence Rd.
Dates: May 11 - June 12 (no groups 5/25)
AND
Schedule in Marlborough: Monday 9:15 - 10:30 & 10:45 - 12:00, Tuesday 10:45 - 12:00 and Thursday 10:00 - 11:15
Where: Marlborough Play Space, 169 Pleasant St.
Dates: May 11 - June 11 (no groups 5/25)
Play & Learn groups provide the opportunity for parents/caregivers and children to interact with each other in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment. Children ages 1-6 learn to play, develop listening skills, communicate and build social skills. A facilitator will introduce art/science activities, math, and music & movement during free play and story time. Caregivers can share ideas, develop relationships and expand their support system.
Music & Movement Groups
"Musical Sing Along" (Birth - 5)
When: Wednesdays 1:00 – 1:45
Where: Marlborough Library
Dates: May 13 – June 10
Children will sing, dance and play with rhythm instruments and musical props such as egg shakers, scarves and more! Facilitated by Ms. Debbie who has been leading mixed-age family Music Together® classes for 20 years!
"Tots & Tunes" (Birth - 3)
When: Thursdays 10:15 - 11:00
Where: Millbury Library
Dates: May 14 – June 11
Children, ages birth - 3, will explore music through songs, movement and simple instruments in this joyful music and movement experience facilitated by Ms. Brenda from Apple Tree Arts.
"Wiggles & Giggles" Littles (6 - 24 months)
When: Thursdays 10:00 - 10:30
Where: Dudley Library (Pearle L. Crawford Memorial)
Dates: May 14 - June 11
Your little one, ages 6 up to 24 months, will be introduced to music, movement, musical instruments and stories in this 30-minute series facilitated by Ms. Laine. "Wiggles & Giggles" fosters physical, cognitive, social and emotional learning through music and motion.
"Wiggles & Giggles" (2-5)
When: Mondays 10:00 - 11:00
Where: Oxford Library
Dates: May 11 - June 8 (no group 5/25)
AND
When: Thursdays 10:45 - 11:45
Where: Dudley Library (Pearle L. Crawford Memorial)
Dates: May 14 - June 11
Children, ages 2-5, will sing, move, play musical instruments, learn rhythm and listen to stories in this music and movement series facilitated by Ms. Laine. "Wiggles & Giggles" fosters physical, cognitive, social and emotional learning through music and motion. Siblings are welcome and must be supervised.
Gross Motor (Movement) Playgroups
"Little Movers!" (3 - 6)
When: Tuesdays, 12:00 - 1:00
Where: Boroughs Family Branch YMCA
Dates: May 12 - June 9
AND
When: Wednesdays, 10:30 - 11:30
Where: TriCommunity YMCA, Southborough
Dates: May 13 - June 10
Help your child build gross motor skills through participation in physical play! Children, ages 3-6 with a parent/caregiver, will run, jump, crawl, balance, ride scooters & bikes and play games. Playgroup ends with a storytime. Younger siblings are welcome and must be supervised by a parent/caregiver.
Additional Community Programs
"Young Scientists" STEM
(Ages 3-6)
Children with a parent/caregiver will learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) concepts through hands-on activities, story time, challenges and simple experiments in 45 minute classes facilitated by STEM Beginnings and hosted by libraries. "Young Scientists" schedules and registration information will be emailed to families weekly and is not included in this Spring II Registration.
Spring II Registration has closed and the Spring II Waitlist is now open. There are a few groups with openings. Register below for a group with openings or join a waitlist. Families will be contacted when space is available.
