My name is Johnny Rogers, I am 17, a student at Sparrows Point High School and a student at the Community College of Baltimore County. I am majoring in accounting. I play baseball for travel and my high school. I like to play video games in my free time, and I know how to play the trombone. I know three languages: English, intermediate French, and novice Morse code. I enjoy nature, and saving money.Â
I also liked to draw a couple years ago, I wasn't the best, but I thought this piece on the left was pretty cool.
During my semester of CSIT 101, I learned the importance of digital literacy. Being able to navigate and use applications saves time and can help make doing things easier. I learned that applications are there to help you, giving you options on how to use them and presenting information in the way you want it to. This ePortfolio project was a different kind of assignment from the traditional powerpoint and word document I am used to. It really tries to make you utilize your creativity skills to present what you've learned rather than just putting into paragraph form. I had to find ways to make presenting information easier through things like images. Overall, this class and project was a huge help to me in understanding applications and computers, and especially how to use them to your benefit.
