BCFS HHS operates the program Common Thread, which presents opportunities for robust internships in social media, via the assigned projects within the department. The Social Media Intern will work with the Community Partnerships and Education team to increase awareness of child trafficking in their local area.
Assist in the creation of outreach materials used to increase community awareness
Organize materials for presentations and outreach events, including mobilizing the community to identify trafficking victims
Create and place target specific ads online utilizing Google and maintain social media platforms bringing awareness
Assist with the research of grants
Assist Community Advocates by connecting the program to useful resources for events and clients served
Assist with research for human trafficking presentations and trainings
Assist with tracking outreach and data
Personal/Business/Organization social media account management experience.
Email, Canva, Google Ad, and Microsoft Office experience. Strong organizational experience.
Must be willing to work 15-20 hours per week at the local program office. Some local travel to site locations may be necessary.
