Sprig — Privacy Policy

Short version: Sprig does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything you enter — plant names, watering history, journal notes — stays on your device.

What Sprig stores

Sprig keeps your garden data (plant names, species, watering dates, streaks, and journal entries) locally on your device only. This data is never uploaded to a server, because Sprig doesn't operate one — there is no account system and no cloud sync in this version of the app.

What Sprig does not do

No account creation, email, or phone number is requested.

No location, contacts, camera, or microphone access is requested beyond what's needed for the optional Plant Spotter camera feature, which only uses a photo you actively choose to take or select.

No data is shared with advertisers or analytics networks.

No data is sold or shared with third parties, ever.

Notifications

If you enable watering reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device using Android's notification system. No reminder content leaves your phone.

Sprig Plus (subscription)

If you purchase Sprig Plus, billing is handled entirely by Google Play's in-app billing system. Sprig receives only a purchase confirmation from Google Play to unlock premium features — it does not receive or store your payment details, which are handled solely by Google.

Children's privacy

Sprig is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age — since no data collection occurs, no data is retained from any user.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Sprig adds sync, accounts, or analytics, this page will be updated first, and the change will be reflected in the app's Play Store data safety section.
