Note: This school is exclusively for Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and PhD students currently enrolled in Indian Colleges, Universities, and Institutes. Other candidates are requested not to apply or submit emails.
The School will provide introductory-level lectures focused on the constructive approach to the Standard Model, emphasizing the underlying mathematical Lagrangian formulation. This program is designed to be highly beneficial for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD students intending to pursue research in theoretical particle physics, and will also be useful for those intending to pursue research in experimental particle Physics seeking a deeper understanding of the Standard Model.
Topics will be covered in the school:
4-Vectors
Lagrangian and Fields
Gauge Invariance
QED Lagrangian
Gauge Structure of the Standard Model: Groups, Generators, Couplings, and Gauge Fields
Glashow-Weinberg-Salam Model
Electroweak Lagrangian
Higgs Mechanism
Fermion Masses
QCD Lagrangian
Standard Model Lagrangian
All Lectures will be delivered on Digital White board.
Homework Problems will be given each day and later Solutions will be provided.
Lectures notes will be provided.
Ample time for discussion after the lecture.
