Thanks! Although, I have not had any problems since about a week after this question was posted back in 2015. I believe the first response was the correct answer - that, in addition to allowing the download of certain playlist songs (I think it's up to 5000 now?) only those playlists that you downloaded need to be set to play offline and only they will play and - they do play.

Since then, I'm on a different data plan with my carrier up to 6GB ... I work and live in a wifi zone so, even if I am out - sometimes I will just turn off my wifi and play Spotify "live" instead of offline from downloaded music

As long as you have Spotify set on Offline Mode you shouldn't be using any mobile data. However, you'll need an internet connection to download the music you want available offline first. That can either be while using WiFi or data, however I'd suggest using WiFi especially if you want to make available offline lots of songs or playlists. After they're all downloaded (the gray circle next to the songs should turn green), you can turn Offline Mode on and listen to everything you've downloaded without using up your data

I recently installed arch and currently using dwm. I installed spotify from pacman and also yay once I encountered the problem. Spotify is able to connect to the internet and is able to search up songs and other stuff. But when it comes to playing the song. It asks me to turn of offline mode. I cant seem to find the setting (not available on spotify client). I've searched online and couldn't even find a temporary solution.

Spotify lets you download 10,000 songs per device that you can listen to using the Offline Mode with Spotify Premium. This article explains how to listen to Spotify offline. Alongside a quick guide on doing it on mobile, we will also show you how to listen to Spotify offline on a desktop.

Yes, you can listen to Spotify offline using the Offline Mode. Spotify Premium boasts an Offline Mode that features all your downloaded playlists and albums, allowing you to listen to them even without an internet connection.

Short of pointing out the obvious one can safely assume this is due to the fact Pulselocker is not spotify thus has different licenses and policies one main one being offline caching and the other being the allowance of public play (commercial use) as long as you have premium ($20/mo.) tier.

I hear there is hope on the horizon at long last as other DJ apps are now building offline capabilities into their software but yhis will not be rolled out until later this year or next at that point algoriddim will have no choice but to talk to Spotify to make djay more competitive

I recently bought Fitbit Sense. What made me decide to buy it was because of the "Spotify" could be played on the watch itself. I should had read it completely and carefully (MY BAD!) and didn't notice the word "control" on wrist. So, I can only control the Spotify music (phone must be in my pocket!) on the watch but this is not what I was looking for. I thought I could play Spotify "offline" while doing my running routines! But it's too late for me now as the retailer where I bought this doesn't accept returning the watch! Forced to create a Deezer account and avail the 3-month free premium (will deactivate this before it expires). COME ON FITBIT it's already 2022! Seems you're not taking your costumers' concerns very seriously!!! Another bummer is this free 6-month Fitbit Premium -- I tried chatting and raising my concern thru online support and told me that it's not yet available in my country!! No ending frustration!!! It feels like being scammed for some reasons!

So I am still having an issue as the songs show up in my gear playlist, but I am still unable to select them. The spotify on the gear Is asking me to go online when I try to select download at the top when I am in the playlist. Can you give me detailed instructions, please?

I signed up for a premium subscricption with spotify. I loaded the Spotify app to my PC and created play lists. I am sure you can do this on the mobile app as well. I then added the Spotify app to the fit2 pro - you have to provide your spotify credintials. Then you can download your playlists; on my pc Spotify app I right clicked on the playlist and picked the download option (don't know how to do this on mobile app). This moved my playlist to the fit2 pro (and my mobile Spotify App).

Spotify assumes you are online when you play music and will make sure that only one online source is playing the music at once (that is why you need to have an internet connection). But you can also set a playlist to play offline so that you won't need an internet connection - like if you are going running. To accomplish this, I then went to my fit2 pro, found my playlist that I had downloaded, went to setting and set the app to off line mode. It took a few minutes to donwload all of the music. Now I can listen to my playlist from the fit2 pro without an internet connection. This will only work for about 30 days, then Spotify wants you to go back online - in other words, turn the offline mode off. (I assume to make sure that your premium subscription is still active).

Thanks for your answers but I'm still struggling... The only options I can see under playlists on the gear fit Spotify app are: save, volume, shuffle and repeat. I press save but don't know if that's downloaded. Also, when I disconnect from WiFi and Bluetooth the Spotify app no longer works so I can't access the offline playlists (which makes me think the save button hasn't actually downloaded it). Can anyone help? How do I download and go for a run without taking my phone?

Im having also problems accessing offline playlist. Can't event login into Spotify with my Facebook account, although the credentials are correct. Lots of people having the same problem but it works for others! Has anyone found the solution?

I also had trouble logging in with Facebook, I read online that it won't accept your Facebook details , you need your spotify username which is a series of numbers , you can get this by logging into spotify on your phones browser and in account settings click on set password and spotify will send you your username

Yes. However, you must be a Spotify Premium subscriber and have all of the songs you want to listen to offline downloaded to your device. After checking both of these boxes, you can turn on offline mode in the Spotify mobile or desktop app.

Spotify Free users can download podcasts. However, offline mode is a feature solely available to Spotify Premium users, so Spotify Free users cannot listen to their downloaded content in offline mode.

To listen to music offline on Spotify, you must turn on offline mode. After downloading your Spotify music, go to Settings. Under Playback, press Offline mode to turn on offline mode.

To listen to music offline on the Spotify desktop app, open the menu in the upper-left corner by clicking the  button. Move your cursor over File and click Offline Mode to turn on offline mode.

I tried the windows application as well as the web player. I can log in. The webplayer shows me my music but when I press play nothing happens. No error message nothing. In the windows application I get at least a warning that I am offline (code 4).

i use my ipad air 2 to stream in my car with offline content. since i only have 12 GB storage on the ipad how can i delete the online content to free up space so i can add different playlists i have on these streaming services- need to how to it for each of above services

kumakuma: thank you , what i found was an easier way described below by Decodering but i found it out myself earlier you can clear the cache or better yet Qubuz and spotify and tidal let's you delete your offline content selectively there is a red circle with minus sign or each song or album or playlist and then you add different playlists to offline content-it is sort of a PIA but i only have myself to blame for not getting more than 12gb of storage

Decodering:thanks i just realized that my self and also you can selectively delete your offline content -on the left hand side of the song/album/playlist column there is a red circle with a minus sign on qobuz spotify and tidal and then you can add other offline content

kumakuma: let's if you have any ideas about this and my small 16GB storage ipad air 2-is there any way to add offline content to another device so i add more playlists from qobuz spotify or tidal when i am listening offline in my car? same question to Decodering

5. After you finish downloading your music, the songs in the playlist will be available offline. A gray downward-facing arrow will appear in the bottom right corner of the downloaded playlist or album's card in the Your Library screen.

Am building a streaming app like pandora or spotify. I have completed the android version. The problem is with iOS. Apple does not allow for the songs to be downloaded onto the phone. They keep rejecting the binary. So my question is how does apps like spotify or pandora manage to have songs stored for offline playback in iOS.I just need pointers in the right direction. If i know how they do it, i can do it too.

Spotify has gained immense popularity as a leading music streaming platform, providing users with access to millions of songs from various genres. One of the standout features of Spotify is the ability to listen to music offline, allowing premium users to enjoy their favorite tracks even without an internet connection. However, for those who are not subscribed to the premium service, this feature is unavailable and limited to online streaming only. But fear not, as this article aims to present an opportunity for Spotify free users to download and listen to their favorite songs offline. ff782bc1db
