This is a very important spoon. I wouldn't think that I would be able to find an actual commemorative spoon for Singapore, but here it was, in a corner of Mustafa shopping centre.
The spoon is gold coloured, and features a blue-purple enamelling, suggesting that it's more high-end than the standard stamped spoons. It features a Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid at the handle, the national flower of Singapore. On the bowl is the Merlion, which is the official mascot and national personification of Singapore.
Since the Merlion was built in 1972 and the Vanda Miss Joaquim was only officially named the National Flower in 1981, this spoon should be made after the 1980s, making it quite a modern one.
