Spin Lab

new physics, new materials and new device concepts

Welcome to the Spin Lab at the University of Arizona. We study spin related phenomena in different materials at nanoscale and reduced dimensions. Research in this area not only enhances the understanding of fundamental physics, but also directly leads to future generations of new semiconductor devices. For example, we investigate new mechanisms to lower the switching energy of nanomagnets and nearby interacting systems, where the information can be stored/processed by the spin of electrons. We focus on the exploration of new physics, new materials, and new device concepts for next generation applications involving with spins. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in our research.
