Spin Lab

new physics, new materials and new device concepts

Welcome to the Spin Lab at the University of Arizona. We study spin related phenomena in different materials at nanoscale and reduced dimension. Research in this area not only enhances the understanding of fundamental physics, but also directly leads to new applications for information process and storage. For example, in spintronics we are exploring new mechanisms to lower the switching energy of nanomagnets and nearby interacting systems, where the information can be stored/processed by the spin of electrons. We are specialized in new materials, new structures and new device concepts for next generation applications involving with spins. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in our research, or you wish to have more information about our group.
