This Privacy Policy explains how Spike Knight, developed by Andrew Federspiel, handles information when you use the game.
Spike Knight does not require user accounts and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or messages.
Spike Knight does not use advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, multiplayer, chat, social, or tracking services.
However, Spike Knight uses RevenueCat to provide and manage the optional in-app purchase that unlocks the full game.
Through RevenueCat, limited information related to purchases and the operation of the purchase system may be processed, including:
Purchase history and purchase status
App Store receipt information or Google Play purchase tokens
An anonymous RevenueCat App User ID
Basic technical information such as device type and operating system
Information necessary to verify, restore, and maintain the full-game entitlement
Spike Knight does not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Game progress, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device.
This locally stored gameplay information is not transmitted to the developer for analytics or profiling.
Deleting the game or its local data may remove locally stored game progress, depending on your device and operating system.
Spike Knight offers an optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase to unlock the full game.
Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device.
RevenueCat is used to facilitate purchase verification and determine whether the full version of Spike Knight should be unlocked.
The developer does not directly collect or store your:
Credit or debit card number
Bank account information
Full payment credentials
Billing information entered with Apple or Google
Payment processing is handled by Apple or Google under their respective terms and privacy policies.
Spike Knight uses RevenueCat as a service provider for in-app purchase functionality.
RevenueCat may process limited technical and transaction information in order to:
Verify purchases
Restore purchases
Maintain purchase entitlements
Prevent fraudulent purchase activity
Provide purchase-related service functionality
Because Spike Knight does not have player accounts, the game does not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, or a Spike Knight account identifier.
RevenueCat may instead generate an anonymous identifier for the installation or customer.
For more information about RevenueCat's privacy practices, please review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Spike Knight does not require an internet connection for normal gameplay.
An internet connection may be used to communicate with Apple, Google, and RevenueCat when necessary to:
Make an in-app purchase
Verify a purchase
Restore a previous purchase
Check whether the full-game entitlement is active
Spike Knight does not use its internet connection for advertising, gameplay analytics, multiplayer functionality, chat, or user profiling.
Spike Knight does not sell user information.
Limited purchase and technical information may be transmitted to RevenueCat and the applicable app marketplace solely as necessary to provide and manage in-app purchase functionality.
The developer does not share this information with advertisers or data brokers.
The developer does not maintain player accounts or a database containing names, email addresses, or other directly identifying player information.
RevenueCat may retain purchase-related information as necessary to provide its services and maintain purchase entitlements.
If you would like to request deletion of information associated with your use of Spike Knight that is processed through RevenueCat, you may contact the developer at knapsackgames@gmail.com.
Some transaction records may also be retained independently by Apple or Google according to their own legal obligations and privacy policies.
Spike Knight is not directed to children under the age of 13.
The game does not knowingly request or collect names, email addresses, contact information, or other directly identifying information from children.
Spike Knight limits its use of online services to those necessary for its in-app purchase functionality.
Purchase-related information transmitted through RevenueCat and the applicable app marketplace is handled using the security practices of those service providers.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if Spike Knight's features, services, or privacy practices change.
If a future version introduces advertising, analytics, online accounts, multiplayer functionality, cloud services, crash reporting, or additional data collection, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
The “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy will indicate when it was most recently revised.
