Spendo is a personal expense tracking application that helps users record expenses, organize spending information, and review their spending habits.
This Privacy Policy explains how Spendo handles information when you use the app.
Spendo allows you to record expense amounts, notes, dates, categories, and payment methods. This information is used to organize your expense records and display spending summaries.
Photos captured or selected for expense records are stored locally on your device. Spendo does not upload these photos to Firebase Storage as part of its normal expense-recording workflow.
Please avoid including sensitive personal information in photos unless it is necessary for your own expense records.
Spendo offers an optional AI-assisted feature that can suggest expense amounts, categories, or descriptions based on a photo.
AI processing occurs only when you enable the AI feature and use it. When you request AI assistance, the relevant photo is sent directly from the app to Firebase AI Logic for processing.
AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate. You can review and edit suggestions before saving them.
If you do not enable or use the AI feature, Spendo does not send expense photos to Firebase AI Logic for this purpose.
Expense records and photos are stored locally on your device according to the app's implementation.
Spendo does not require you to create an account to use its core expense-tracking features.
Local data may be removed when you uninstall the app or clear its application data. Uninstalling the app does not necessarily remove information that has already been transmitted to third-party services.
Information handled by Spendo is used to:

Display expense history, calendars, and spending insights.
Provide optional AI-assisted expense suggestions when requested.
Maintain app functionality, security, and reliability.
Spendo uses Firebase AI Logic to provide optional AI-assisted expense suggestions.
When you use this feature, the photo and information required for the AI request are transmitted to the service for processing. The relevant service provider may process this information under its applicable terms and data-handling practices.

Spendo does not sell users' personal information.
Photos are not uploaded to Firebase Storage as part of the normal expense-recording workflow. However, when you request AI assistance, the selected photo is transmitted to Firebase AI Logic for processing.
Technical information may also be processed by Firebase or other services used to operate and protect the app.
Expense records and photos stored locally can be removed using the app's available delete functions or by removing the app and its local data.
Information sent to Firebase AI Logic may be handled according to the service provider's applicable retention policies. Deleting a local photo does not necessarily delete information previously transmitted for AI processing.
Spendo uses the security mechanisms available through the app platform and its integrated services to help protect information.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Spendo is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

You can edit or delete your expense records using the functionality available in Spendo.
