Spendo - Expense Tracker & Budget App ("Spendo", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the app collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our application.
1. Information We Collect
Spendo may collect and store the following information that you choose to enter or generate while using the app:
- Profile information such as your display name and email address
- Financial information such as transactions, budgets, categories, account names, notes, tags, and selected currency
- App preferences such as onboarding choices and notification settings
- Coach chat entries and finance-related prompts you submit inside the app
- Exported files you choose to generate, such as PDF statements
2. How We Use Information
We use the information in the app to:
- Provide expense tracking, budgeting, and financial dashboard features
- Save and display your financial records
- Generate summaries, coaching responses, and insights inside the app
- Support CSV import preview, receipt-related flows, and export/share features
- Maintain your app settings and improve app functionality

In the current version of Spendo, your app data is primarily stored locally on your device.
We use local encrypted storage mechanisms to help protect sensitive information saved by the app.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your personal financial data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Your data may only be shared in the following situations:
- When you explicitly choose to export, save, or share files from the app
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request

5. Third-Party Services
The current app build does not appear to include third-party advertising or analytics services.
Some platform or plugin components may be used to support secure local storage, file saving, or sharing functionality.
If future versions of Spendo add cloud sync, live bank connections, AI endpoints, analytics, or external authentication providers, this Privacy Policy should be updated before release.
6. Google Sign-In and External Integrations
If Spendo enables Google Sign-In or similar external account services in a future release, we may collect basic account information such as your name, email address, and profile image, subject to the permissions you grant.
If enabled later, details about that collection and use should be added to this Privacy Policy before launch.
7. Receipt Scans, Imports, and Uploaded Content
If you use receipt scan, statement import, or file-based features, the app may process the information contained in those files or images, including merchant names, amounts, dates, and related financial details.
In the current build, these features appear to be demo or local-flow oriented. If future versions transmit this information to remote servers, this Privacy Policy must be updated accordingly.
8. Children’s Privacy
Spendo is not intended for children under 13 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Your Choices
You may choose what information you add to the app.
You may also delete app data by uninstalling the app or clearing local app storage on your device, subject to your device and platform settings.
If you export or share files, you are responsible for how those files are handled after export.
10. International Users
If you use Spendo outside your home country, your information may be processed on your device or, in future versions, in jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
If remote services are introduced later, this section should be reviewed and updated.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this policy.
