Mykola Rudenko ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, Speed Up (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We do not currently require you to create an account or provide personally identifiable information (such as your name or phone number) to use the core features of the App.
Vehicle Data ("Garage"): You may choose to input details about your vehicles, including Make, Model, Year, Engine Specifications, and Modifications. In the current version of the App, this data is stored locally on your device unless you choose to participate in Leaderboards (see Section 6).
Feedback & Feature Requests: If you use the in-app feedback or feature request forms, we collect the text you provide, your rating, and (optionally) your email address if you choose to share it for follow-up.
To function correctly, the App requires access to specific device sensors:
Location Data: We access your precise location (GPS) to calculate speed, distance, and acceleration times (e.g., 0-100 km/h). We also use your location to fetch local weather conditions for your test runs.
Motion Data: We use your device's accelerometer and gyroscope to calculate G-Force and ensure device stability during tests.
Analytics: We use third-party services (Google Analytics for Firebase) to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how you interact with the App (e.g., screens visited, session duration, and crash reports).
Advertising Data: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the IDFA, subject to your permission via App Tracking Transparency) to show personalized or non-personalized ads.
Device Details: When submitting feedback, we automatically append your device model, iOS version, and App build number to help us diagnose technical issues.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Core Functionality: To calculate and display your vehicle's performance metrics (speed, time, G-force) and organize your vehicle list in the Garage.
Contextual Data: To display weather conditions (temperature, weather status) relevant to your specific test runs via Apple WeatherKit.
App Improvement: To analyze usage trends and crash reports, helping us improve stability and user experience.
Advertising: To display advertisements within the App.
Support: To respond to your feedback and troubleshoot bugs.
Your Garage and Test History are stored locally by default. All vehicle profiles and performance test records are stored exclusively in a local database on your device (using SwiftData).
Important: If you delete the App or lose your device, your local Garage data and Test History cannot be recovered by us.
Feedback: Information submitted specifically through the Feedback or Feature Request forms is transmitted securely to Google Firestore (a cloud database).
Leaderboard Data: If you opt-in to Leaderboards, specific performance data is stored in the cloud (see Section 6 below).
We share data with specific third-party service providers to facilitate app features. These services have their own privacy policies:
Google Analytics for Firebase: Used for app analytics. Google Privacy Policy
Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers to personalize ads if you have granted tracking permission. Google AdMob Privacy
Apple WeatherKit: Used to provide weather data for your test runs. Your location is sent to Apple to retrieve local weather, but this data is not associated with your personal identity by Apple. Apple WeatherKit Privacy
Location & Motion Permissions: You can revoke the App's access to GPS or Motion sensors at any time via your iOS Settings. Note that revoking these permissions will prevent the App from measuring performance.
App Tracking: Upon first launch, you are asked for permission to allow tracking for advertising purposes. You can manage this choice in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Deleting Data: Since your Garage and History data are stored locally, you can delete this data at any time by deleting the items within the App or by uninstalling the App.
If you choose to join a Leaderboard within the App, you explicitly consent to the following data being uploaded to our cloud servers (Firebase) and made publicly visible to other users of the App:
Nickname: The public display name you choose.
Vehicle Information: General details about the vehicle used for the test, including Make, Model, Year, and Modification Stage.
Performance Results: Your best test results (e.g., time, speed) associated with that vehicle.
Public Visibility: This information will be visible to other users on global and filtered leaderboards.
Opting Out: You can choose not to join the Leaderboards, in which case your performance data remains stored only locally on your device.
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly when we introduce new features like cloud synchronization or user accounts. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
