Effective date: September 6, 2026
NEXTAPPS.TECH (SMC-Private) Limited (“NextApps,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides the Internet Speed Test — NextSpeed mobile application (“the App”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the App.
The App stores the following information locally on your device:
Internet speed-test results, including download speed, upload speed, latency, jitter, server, connection type, data transferred, and test time
Notes added to saved results
Outage diary entries
Language, theme, measurement-unit, warning, and consent settings
NextApps does not receive this locally stored information through the App. It remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Speed tests require communication with an external measurement provider.
Measurement Lab (M-Lab): On supported devices, the App uses M-Lab’s NDT7 service. M-Lab receives measurement and connection information, including your public IP address, test date and time, performance measurements, and related technical metadata. M-Lab publishes its measurement results as public research data and states that this data is retained indefinitely. Review the M-Lab Privacy Policy before running a test.
Cloudflare: On platforms where M-Lab NDT7 is unavailable, the App may use Cloudflare’s HTTPS speed-test service. Cloudflare receives your IP address and may derive approximate city/country location and your internet provider’s Autonomous System Number. Cloudflare processes this information according to its privacy policy. See Cloudflare Speed Test for details.
The App sends generated test data only. It does not read or upload your photographs, documents, or other personal files.
The App asks for your consent before enabling network measurement tests. You may withdraw consent by deleting all local data from Settings. Withdrawing consent prevents future tests until consent is provided again.
Deleting App data does not automatically delete information already received or published by M-Lab or processed by Cloudflare. Requests concerning third-party data must be directed to the relevant provider.
If you contact us for support, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message. We use this information to answer your request, investigate problems, and maintain necessary support records.
Please do not send passwords, financial information, or other sensitive personal information in support messages.
The App uses internet access to conduct speed tests and network diagnostics. It may access basic network status to identify whether the device is offline or connected through Wi-Fi, mobile data, or another network.
The App does not request access to precise location, contacts, photographs, files, camera, or microphone.
The App does not include advertising or analytics SDKs and does not sell personal information.
When you export or share a result, the information is sent only to the application or destination you select through your device’s sharing interface. That destination’s privacy practices will apply.
Locally stored results and settings remain on your device until you delete individual entries, clear your history, delete all local data, uninstall the App, or erase the App’s storage through your device settings.
Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and satisfy legal obligations.
Third-party measurement providers control the retention of information they receive.
Network measurements are transmitted using secure HTTPS or encrypted WebSocket connections. Local information is protected by your device’s application-storage security. However, no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
The App is not designed to collect information directly from children and does not require an account. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
M-Lab and Cloudflare may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their respective privacy policies explain their international data-handling practices.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. Contact us to make a request concerning information held directly by NextApps.
Requests concerning information held by M-Lab or Cloudflare should be submitted directly to those providers.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, its providers, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will include a revised effective date.
