The main focus of this meeting is to discuss some recent developments in the geometric and analytic aspects of Spectral Theory among a small group of mathematicians. This gathering will also provide the participants with an opportunity to informally discuss about the numerical and graph-theoretic aspects as well. This low budget meeting also aims to discover some new directions for future work. Hoping that beginners as well as the veterans benefit from this meeting. We also wish to give participation opportunity to those college teachers and corporate professionals who want to get back to their research in spectral theory after a gap.
This meeting is going to be held in a physical mode. There will also be a few online talks by mathematicians working outside India. Although, it's the first one of this nature in India on Spectral Theory, in future we hope to conduct such meetings every alternate year.
This meeting is supported by the Mathematics Department of IISER Pune.

The name spectral theory was introduced by David Hilbert in his original formulation of Hilbert space theory, which was cast in terms of quadratic forms in infinitely many variables. Hilbert himself was surprised by the unexpected application of this theory to quantum mechanics, noting that "I developed my theory of infinitely many variables from purely mathematical interests, and even called it 'spectral analysis' without any presentiment that it would later find application to the actual spectrum of physics."
