Range: Indian Ocean; from the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and along the coast of the Arabian Peninsula, along the coast of East Africa and Madagascar, the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea, the Laccadive Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and into the Andaman Sea and Strait of Malacca.
