A Parent AT Chatter is a time for parents and educators to learn, visit and share resources with on assistive technology (AT) tools and strategies. Participants can come to listen in, discuss, share in the chat, and connect with other parents with similar interests.

Assistive Technology (AT) consideration is included as part of the IEP process. Some districts have a formal process for AT consideration, while others do not. Join this webinar to learn about AT consideration and how you can participate in this process within your district. Discuss and share ways you have participated in AT consideration for your child during the IEP process.

May 5th 3:30-4:30 Parent AT Chatter: Enjoying Books with Children of All Abilities.

Are you wondering how to create daily opportunities for interaction and communication throughout the day? Shared reading with your child may be something to try! Join an open discussion with other parents about how to increase the fun and engagement (while also hitting on some literacy skills) while reading with your child. This “Parent Chatter” is designed in a way to open the discussion to all participants. Come with tips, book titles, or just questions!

Learning Objectives:

Discuss research-based strategies for shared reading with children with and without disabilities

Share and explore tools and materials for reading with children with disabilities.
