This Privacy Policy explains how the Speakora AI mobile application (“Speakora AI”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the App.
1) Summary
Speakora AI does not create user accounts and does not store your conversations on our servers.
Most app data (your preferences and progress) is stored locally on your device.
The App uses the Yodo1 MAS SDK to display third-party advertisements.
If you use AI chat features, the App must send the text you type and basic session context to a third-party AI service provider to generate a reply.
You will be asked for permission (consent) before your text is sent to the third-party AI service for processing.
Deleting the App removes locally stored app data from your device (subject to how your device/OS handles storage and backups).
2) Information You Provide in the App (Stored Locally)
The App may allow you to enter or generate information such as:
Learning preferences (native language, target language, interests, display name if you choose to set one)
Session progress (completed lessons, unlocked sessions, role-play completion)
Messages you type during lessons or role play
This information is stored locally on your device. We do not receive or store it on our servers.
3) Third-Party Advertising (Yodo1 MAS SDK)
To support the App, we use the Yodo1 MAS SDK to serve third-party advertisements. This involves the collection of certain data points:
Device Identifiers: The SDK collects device-specific IDs (such as IDFA or Android Ad ID) for advertising purposes. This data is collected based on Device ID but is not linked to a specific User ID.
Coarse Location: The SDK collects general (non-precise) location data to provide relevant ads. This data is not linked to a specific User ID or Device ID.
4) AI Chat Processing (Third-Party AI Service)
What data is sent
When you use the AI chat features, the App sends the minimum data needed to generate an AI response, which may include:
Your message text (what you type)
Basic session context, such as selected languages, lesson title, and lesson objective
Your display name, only if you provided one in the App
Who receives the data
AI chat replies are generated using a third-party AI service provider.
Current provider: DeepSeek (third-party AI service).
Purpose
This data is sent only to:
Generate and return the AI response inside the App
Maintain the conversation flow (context) during the session
What we do NOT send
We do not intentionally send:
Contacts, photos, files
Precise location data
Payment details (purchases are handled by Apple)
Consent / Permission
Before the App sends your text to the third-party AI service for the first time, the App will request your permission. If you do not agree, you can still use the App features that do not require AI chat.
Important note about network data
Like any internet request, the third-party AI provider may receive basic technical data automatically (for example, IP address and standard server logs) as part of providing the service. We do not control the provider’s server logging practices.
5) Information We Collect

We do not collect personal data on our own servers. We do not run user analytics or internal user profiling systems.

Linked to you: No (we do not require accounts)
6) Data Sharing
We share data only in the following cases:
AI Chat: Your message text and basic session context are shared with the third-party AI provider only to generate a response.
Advertising: Device IDs and coarse location data are shared with Yodo1 and its advertising partners to serve ads.
7) Data Retention
On your device: Preferences, progress, and chat display data may remain stored locally until you delete the App or clear the App’s storage.
On our servers: We do not store your chat messages or session data on developer-controlled servers.
Third-party providers: Yodo1 and the AI provider may process and temporarily retain data as needed to operate their services and comply with legal obligations. We do not control their specific retention policies.
8) Data Deletion
Because the App stores most data locally:
You can remove local data by deleting (uninstalling) the App.
If your device performs automatic backups (for example, iCloud backup), some locally stored data may be included depending on your device settings.
9) Children’s Privacy
Speakora AI is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10) Security
We take reasonable steps to keep the App safe, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Protecting your device (PIN, Face ID, etc.) helps protect your local data.
11) Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated policy.
