"What else will I need to have?"

Before we can begin to rig your character, there are a few things we will need to be sure we have ready before we can begin:

  1. Layered Character Art - Starting a rig in Live2D requires the illustration of your character to be broken into "layers" and saved in a .PSD (Photoshop File) in order for it to be possible to animate any motion or expressions into your character. If you are unsure if your artwork is appropriately layered, I can take a look at your files before we begin to make sure what you have will work (if your artwork is not correctly layered, I offer that service under the "Avatar-Art Cutting/Layering" service on my page.)

  2. Purchase/Download Tracking Software - Live2D rigs are designed to mirror the movements of your body, head, eyes, mouth, and hands - but in order to do that, you will need both a camera/webcam AND tracking software such as VTubeStudio, Prprlive, FaceRig, or Apple's native tracking software on an iPhone X or newer model (I personally use VTubeStudio, which is also the software I will be testing your rig in before delivery, so if you plan to use any other tracking software than VTubeStudio, just be aware that my testing, calibrations, and standards for delivery will be based on the rig's performance in VTubeStudio.)

  3. Webcam - As I mentioned above, you will need a camera connected to the computer that is running your tracking software in order for that software to tell your Live2D rig how to move. If you don't have a webcam, I would recommend anything that has HD resolution (1080p) and runs at least 30 fps (the Logitech C930e is a solid choice if you need a suggestion, but there are plenty of cameras with higher specs available if you're looking to spend more on that tech).

Important Details!

If you are a minor (under 18 years of age) you will need to have your parent or legal guardian handle all messages and communication for you.

I kindly decline to work on any rigs that are:

  1. Culturally or Ethnically Insensitive

  2. A Depiction of a Child
