This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies concerning the collection, use, processing, transmission, and disclosure of information when anyone decides to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The information we collect is used to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service. We will not use or share your information except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible through Spark File Manager, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
We may collect or process, on behalf of our customers, certain categories of personal data when you use or interact with our products and services. This information may include your name, email address, Google Drive file information, and other information returned through the Google API.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary and consistent with the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, our legitimate business purposes, and applicable legal requirements.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We may share relevant information with service providers and partners that help us provide, maintain, secure, and improve our services, as described in this Privacy Policy.
For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information. The information we request will be retained and used as described in this Privacy Policy.
The App may access information about applications installed on your device for the following purposes:
When accessing the file list, to display folders associated with relevant applications;
When accessing “App Manager,” to display and manage installed applications;
When cleaning unnecessary files, to identify the applications associated with those files; and
When you enable the antivirus feature, to scan installed applications for viruses, malware, malicious applications, and other potential security threats.
Access to installed application information may require the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission. Spark File Manager uses this permission only for functions that require visibility of installed applications, including App Manager, file-cleaning functions, and the antivirus feature.
Spark File Manager provides an antivirus feature powered by the Trustlook SDK. This feature is designed to help users scan applications installed on their devices for viruses, malware, malicious applications, and other potential security threats.
Before the antivirus feature is activated, Spark File Manager displays a separate consent notice explaining what information is required, why it is processed, and that it will be transmitted to Trustlook’s cloud service.
The antivirus scan is activated only after you select “Confirm use” or otherwise provide your consent. If you select “Cancel” or do not provide consent, the relevant application information will not be submitted for the antivirus scan, and you may continue using the App’s other file-management functions.
To perform an antivirus scan, Spark File Manager and the Trustlook SDK may process the following information about applications installed on your device:
Application package names;
Application signatures;
Application file hashes; and
Antivirus scan results, including whether a virus, malicious application, or other potential security threat has been detected.
This information is transmitted to Trustlook’s cloud-based security service for virus and malware detection. The information is processed to:
Provide the antivirus scanning function;
Compare installed applications against security and threat-detection data;
Detect viruses, malware, malicious applications, and other potential threats;
Display antivirus scan results to the user; and
Maintain and improve the security and reliability of the antivirus feature.
Spark File Manager may display the number and type of potential threats detected during a scan. Users can review the available scan results before deciding whether to take further action.
Declining the antivirus consent request will prevent the antivirus feature from performing its cloud-based scan, but it will not prevent users from accessing the App’s general file-management features.
Antivirus scan results are provided for security and informational purposes. Because no security technology can detect every threat, Spark File Manager does not guarantee that the antivirus feature will identify every malicious application, unsafe file, or security risk.
The antivirus feature is powered by the Trustlook SDK, a third-party antivirus and threat-detection service.
When you provide consent and start an antivirus scan, application package names, application signatures, application file hashes, and related scan information may be transmitted to Trustlook’s cloud service for virus and malware detection.
Trustlook processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Trustlook’s Privacy Policy before enabling the antivirus feature:
https://www.trustlook.com/privacy-policy
Trustlook’s processing of information is also subject to its own data-protection practices, retention rules, security measures, and privacy policy.
The antivirus feature requires your consent before the relevant application information is transmitted to Trustlook’s cloud service.
You may decline the antivirus consent request by selecting “Cancel.” If you decline:
The cloud-based antivirus scan will not be activated;
The relevant installed application information will not be submitted for that antivirus scan; and
You may continue using other available functions of Spark File Manager.
Where supported by your device, you may also manage or revoke permissions granted to Spark File Manager through your device’s system settings. Revoking a required permission may prevent certain functions, including antivirus scanning, application management, or file management, from working correctly.
