Textbook Information

Connect is an online platform where students will access the Tu mundo textbook (2nd edition, Magdalena Andrade, et al.) in a digital format (ebook) and complete the online textbook assignments. To successfully complete this course, students should purchase the Connect access code at the start of the semester; students cannot pass the class without Connect. If you cannot purchase the Connect access code right away, do not worry (or drop the class) because you can sign up for a courtesy account which will be valid for two weeks at no cost. The printed textbook is optional since the access code includes a complete digital version of the Tu mundo textbook.

Purchasing Options for Tu mundo Connect Access Code

McGraw Hill online shop: The McGraw Hill online shop offers the Connect access code for a discounted price that is only available to Ventura College students. Instructions on how to purchase the access code are provided on the Canvas course homepage by clicking on "Textbook Information" (orange button).

    • Option 1: six-month Connect access code ($55) valid for one semester of Spanish or

    • Option 2: twelve-month Connect access code ($90) valid for two semesters

OR

Ventura College Bookstore:

    • Option 1: six-month Connect access code ($73) or

    • Option 2: two-year Connect access code and printed copy of textbook ($160)

The printed textbook of Tu mundo is optional since Connect includes a complete digital version of the textbook.
