This page is used to inform app visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal and Non-Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service (the MGuard app).

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal and Non-Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personal data or personal information that can be used to identify you (“Personal Data”, or “data” or “information”) for a better experience. We may also collect Personal Data automatically, from third-party partners or services. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy. The Personal Data we collect includes:

• Basic Identifiers and Contact Information

We collect some information from you when you provide it to us directly, such as via an email or through another form of inquiry. This information may include your name, email, and phone number.

• Device Information

When you download and use our Service, we automatically collect information on the type of device you use, operating system, resolution, application version, mobile device identifiers (such as your device ID or advertising ID), language, time zone and IP address.

• Usage Information

We collect information automatically about your activity through our Service (Usage Information), such as the date and time you used a service, features you have used, your in-app purchase history, subscriptions, your interaction with advertisements, and data generated when you use our Service.

• Location

When you download and use our Service, we automatically detect your general location, namely country and state through your IP address. We may collect, with your consent if applicable, other location information through your IP address, such as the city you are in. 

• Media and other files

We may ask for access to your camera in case you want to use certain features of our Service.  In case you contact us and you can upload media or files as attachments. 

• Information we obtain from third parties

We may receive information about you from our third party service providers, who collect this information through our Service in accordance with their own privacy policies.

• User generated content we obtain from you

We may collect content from posts or uploads on social networks or platforms or direct contact, subject to your consent if applicable. Such content may include, your name, social media username, image, likeness, voice, other identifiable information available in such user generated content.

• Cookies and similar data collection technologies

We and our third party advertising networks and their partners may use cookies and similar technologies, such as mobile “SDK”, to provide and personalize our Service and to provide targeted advertisements. Some of these technologies can synchronize behavior across different mobile apps, devices and websites so that advertisements can be tailored to your interests. This process is called personalized advertising. In addition, we and certain advertising networks may access your inventory of installed apps to avoid advertising already installed apps. If you'd like to opt-out from having advertisements personalized in this way on your Android device, please open device Settings, select Google, select Ads and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization".

The app does use Service Providers (third-party companies) that may collect information used to identify you. Service Providers will only have access to the personal information needed to perform limited functions on our behalf. Link to privacy policy of third party service providers used by the app:

In addition to personal data, we may collect Non-Personal Information. Non-Personal Information is any information that relates to you but from which it is not practicable to directly or indirectly identify you, which may include the information about your devices (such as Your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information), the list of installed apps on your devices, and technical information about users means of connection to our apps, such as the versions of phone model and other similar information.

The list of installed apps on your devices helps to create lists of harmless applications and prevents security products from mistakenly identifying such applications as malicious. This data is also used to help us to offer users a security solution by Trustlook CloudSDK. Trustlook CloudSDK provides Android malware detection services based on Trustlook NGSE cloud service. It collects application data but not other data for antivirus purpose:

• User Data

CloudSDK DOES NOT collect any personal information from the mobile devices, including username, password, email address, address, telephone number, contacts, text messages, fingerprint, photos, and videos etc.

• Device Data

CloudSDK DOES NOT collect any device information, including device name, manufacture, model, system version and device id etc.

• Application Data

CloudSDK collects the application data like package name, MD5 hash and signature information. CloudSDK uses them to determine if an application or APK file is a virus.

Trustlook will not sell, license, transmit or disclose this information outside of Trustlook and its affiliated companies unless (a) expressly authorized by you, (b) necessary to enable Trustlook contractors or agents to perform certain functions for us, or (c) required or permitted by law. In all cases, we will disclose the information consistent with applicable laws and regulations and we will require the recipient to protect the information and use it only for the purpose it was provided.

Trustlook has adopted and adheres to stringent security standards designed to protect non-public personal information at Trustlook.com against accidental or unauthorized access or disclosure. Among the safeguards that Trustlook has developed for this site are administrative, physical and technical barriers that together form a protective firewall around the information stored at this site. We periodically subject our site to simulated intrusion tests and have developed comprehensive disaster recovery plans.

Information Use

We have set out below a description of the ways in which we use your Personal or Non-Personal Information, the legal bases we rely upon to do so and to provide you with an option to opt-out of certain practices, where applicable. We may use your Personal or Non-Personal Information:

• To provide and maintain our Service, recognize you when you return to our app, to sync your progress across devices when you log in to your account with third parties and perform essential business operation, our legal basis for processing is performance of a contract with you which you entered into with us when you download our Service and accept our Terms of Use.

• To administer and protect our Service (including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, support, fraud, reporting and hosting of data). Our legal basis for processing is legitimate interests for running our business, provision of administration and services.

• To communicate with you and to understand how you use our Service so that we can continuously improve our offerings. Our legal basis is performance of a contract, legitimate interests or consent depending on the particular case to keep our users updated about our Service and our new features in accordance with your preference, and to continue to improve the Service we offer.

• To serve personalized advertisements in our Service using third-party advertising networks. Our legal basis is legitimate interests to run our business

• To use user generated content which has been provided by you and such content includes Personal Data. Our legal basis is consent which is obtained directly by you from the medium (e.g. e-mail, social networks, social platforms) used to obtain such content.

• To respond to legal proceedings and other obligations or requirements under applicable law.

Information Disclosure

Without your consent, we will not disclose your information to any third party except the following circumstances:

• With your prior authorization or consent;

• Under the mandatory requirement from government authorities or in accordance with laws, rules, regulations and legal procedures;

• For the purpose of academic research or public interest;

• To safeguard our legitimate rights and interests, such as finding, defending, and settling infringement or security problems;

• When you select the sharing function;

• Other circumstances that are in accordance with Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

We and our affiliate companies may share your Personal or Non-Personal Information within our group of companies and with joint venture partners and third party service providers, marketing partners, contractors and agents, in each case, for the following purposes: (i) providing Services to you; (ii) assisting us in carrying out the purposes set out under the "Information Use" section above; (iii) carrying out our obligations and enforcing our rights under the Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy; and/or (iv) helping us understand and improve Services.

Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

• To facilitate our Service;

• To provide the Service on our behalf;

• To perform Service-related services;

• To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

We want to inform our Service users that these third parties have access to your Personal or Non-Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

The Antivirus engine is powered by Trustlook CloudSDK. Trustlook CloudSDK provides security service and it will record certain information that includes user's installed applications. Because it will analyze the app collection, app static & behavior analysis to give the app risk report. This SDK only collects information of scanned APK files, including but not limited to package name, signature, code version, hash, file names, size, activities, and services. This SDK does not collect any user information nor the device information such as IMEI, mac device ID, phone number, location, android ID etc. Checkout information Collection Notice: Trustlook Privacy Policy.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Your Rights in Information

You have several privacy rights regarding information collected by us. These include:

• The right to know what categories and specific pieces of information are collected or disclosed for a business purpose by requesting this information from us.

• The right to request deletion of information collected or maintained by us.

• The right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us for choosing to exercise your privacy rights.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
