Vortex-1 is the next rocket type we are building. This rocket will fly on 2 E12-6 Engines. This rocket is meant for a small, Light, Payload to fly in the top, that will be deployed with the parachute. There will be 2-3 of this rocket built this year to fly. The first static fire will use 2 D12-3's, to validate the engine mount design.
Vortex-2 Will be our first rocket to feature a flight computer and Thrust Vector Control (TVC). This vehicle will end up being our first vehicle to perform a Propulsive Landing on the ground. This vehicle will launch at the earliest in Mid to Late 2026.
Missions without payloads will be called VX-X. The V is for Vortex, the First X is for what type, A Vortex-1 would be V1-X. The Second X is for the Flight of the type of Vehicle. for the Vortex-1's First launch, it would be V1-1. The Booster will get the same naming scheme as the others. Starting with Booster 6 and Booster 7.
The first launch will be called: The V1-1 Mission, and this mission will fly with Booster 6.
