ISSUE?: When some people click the preceding link to the plain text file .TXT, and then click the Download button (near top-right), it works fine.
But at least one person says the click fails for him, due to a Security blockage (which our fix did solve for other people).
So for now, I have added the "SelectAll & Copy & Paste" link further above, within the Expandable section.
The following link provides the details of how Space Club Golf League has designed it Half and Full season playoffs to deterine the winning golfers.
.
Out of Bounds, 2_stroke penalty, play faster:
You hit your tee shot, and then walk to your ball. You see your ball is out of bounds.
In SCGL, we kinda Require that the player NOT walk back to the tee box, at the cost of 1_stroke plus loss of distance (lying at 2 strokes on the redo tee shot).
Instead, we adopt the USGA option to - drop your ball in the fairway, parallel to where you found it (or where is roughly was expected to be), and lie 3 (hitting 4th shot, thus a 2_stroke penalty plus retain distance).
This 2_stroke option is strongly recommended in most cases, to save lots of time.
Lost Ball:
You have only 180 seconds to search for you golf ball.
A lost ball has the same penalty as an out of bounds ball has, regardless of where the ball might have been lost.
Only in the rarest cases may the tee group agree that the lost ball's location is known with no sensible reason why it cannot be found (such as a deeply hidden ball that plugged deep into wet mud), and on that basis forgive the penalty strokes.
Fairway Divot:
Winter weeks #01-#10:
During our first half of play each year, we play "lift, clean, place" for your golf ball. Plus...
If your ball stops in a divot in the fairway, you may move the ball by the minimum amount necessary to locate the ball on regular turf (thus treating the divot as "ground under repair").
This option also applies to a divot in the rough, but only while Winter rules are in effect.
Summer weeks #11-#20:
Even during the stricter Summer rules, if your ball stops in a divot in the fairway, you may move the ball by the minimum amount necessary to locate the ball on regular turf (thus treating the divot as "ground under repair").
You are not allowed to move your ball out of a divot when in the Summer rough.
Hole #5 Drop Zone:
Free Drop If:
If your shot goes too far and stops in the paved maintenance lot beyond the green, you may (and should) take a FREE drop in the circular drop zone (behind the back-right edge of the green). This drop incurs no penalty stroke!
The FREE drop option also applies if your ball stops manicured bark area beyond the green.
No Free Drop:
If your shot stops on the hole #6 tee, you must play your ball where it lies, or take the penalty for an "unplayable lie". No free drop.
And no free drop if your ball is say under the trees to the right of the green, or is in the street to the left of the green, etc.
Hole #9 Drop Zone:
Free Drop If:
In rare cases, your shot might go very far beyond the green and stop on the grounds of the clubhouse.
This area includes its front lawn, and its restaurant patio, etc.
In these rare cases, you may take a no-penalty FREE drop in the circular drop zone.
No Free Drop:
If your ball stops beyond the green on the cart path, or in the parking lot, it is out of bounds. No free drop.
