You will get all of your Rapid Rewards points returned into your Southwest account if you cancel a Wanna Get Away/Wanna Get Away plus flight that you paid for with points. The ticket's taxes ($5.60 roundtrip on domestic flights) will be stored as reloadable flight credits.

Business Select, Anytime, and Senior Tickets
Tickets for Wanna Get Away/Wanna Get Away plus have a more restrictive cancellation policy than Business Select and Anytime tickets, however these tickets are more expensive. Additionally, senior fares have the same liberal cancellation policy.
A Business Select, Anytime, or Senior ticket cancellation will result in a full refund to the original method of payment. This holds true for tickets purchased with cash or Rapid Rewards points.
The purchase amount of your Business Select, Anytime, or Senior ticket will be converted to flight credits that can be applied to another flight if you are a no-show (i.e., you didn't cancel at least 10 minutes prior to takeoff). All Rapid Rewards points that were utilised will be credited back into your account.
A change to an already scheduled flight renders the ticket non-refundable. Your purchase price will not be returned if you need to make more changes or cancellations; instead, it will be held as reloadable flight credits. If you want to keep your ticket's status as 100% refundable, it's better to change your flight and make a new reservation.
How to Use Southwest Flight Credits
Utilising Southwest flight credits, formerly known as travel dollars, is simple because they are accessible through your online account.
They will be listed in the My Account area once you log in to your account. Keep in mind that they are still referred to as travel funds here, but don't worry—they are the same as flying credits.
Only the original ticketed passenger may utilise flight credits to pay for flights, taxes, and other costs.
