Southern Suburbs Chess Club

Background

Southern Suburbs Chess Club is one of Perth's three Senior chess clubs.  Our past and present membership includes some of Perth's strongest  players, senior and junior.

The club supports the development of junior chess through its associated junior chess club.

We meet on Tuesday evenings at Leeming Primary School, 10 Meharry Road, Leeming 6149. Juniors from 6:00pm and the seniors club from 7:00pm.

The senior club runs a range of ACF and FIDE rated tournaments throughout the year. Most rated tournaments require players to be members of SSCC. Tournaments are open to junior players who join the senior club. Tournament games always start at 7:30pm. Please check our calendar page for more details.

Visitors and new members are always welcome although it may not be possible to enter a tournament on your first night as a tournament may be underway. Newcomers are always made welcome and it may be possible to play casual games with a club member or another visitor. Please contact us at sscc.perth@gmail.com for more information.
