According to the 2021 projection, there are around ~600 million people between 20-24 yr old. A similar value is predicted for 25-30 yr olds and ~630 million for 15-19 yr olds. So let's say there are roughly 1.8 billion people aged between 15-30 years old in 2021.

In 2100, there is projected to be ~90 million people of ≥95 yr old. Therefore, 90 million/1. 8 billion => around 1 in 20 people among our viewers will reach ~100 years old, based on a rough calculation.

– You spent the first 600 weeks of your life being a kid and 400 being a teenager.

A year is 52 weeks, 600/52=11.5 ≈12 years old which corresponds roughly to childhood. Another 400 weeks on top for teenager years, 1000/52 = 19.2 ≈ close to 20 years old.

– In any case, by the time you are 20, over 1000 of your 5200 weeks have passed.

20 years make 52*20 = 1040 weeks, so a little more than 1000. The number of remaining weeks then is 5200-1040 = 4160.

– People tend to work until the age of 65. Which means that you’ll spend at least 2000 weeks of your life, with serious adult work.

Assuming one would be working for 38 years between the ages 27 and 65, it would make 38*52 = 1976 weeks which is rounded up to 2000 weeks.

– At 65 you have used up 3400 of your 5200 weeks.

3400 weeks make 3400/52 ≈ 65 years.

– If you’ve managed to acquire enough wealth to retire, in theory you are now free to do whatever you like, for up to 1800 weeks.

1800 weeks make 1800/52 ≈ 35 years which corresponds to the time after the retirement age 65, and based on a life expectancy of 100 years.

– The average lifespan in the US is 79. In Germany it is 81. In Japan 84. In Brazil it is 75.

– If you die at age 80, which is still not bad, you only have 780 weeks of freedom after you retire.

Assuming one would retire at age of 65 and die at 80, one would have 15 years and 15*52 = 780 weeks.

– For example the vast majority of cancer related deaths occur in people over 70.
