What is SoupCon?
It's a glorified soup swap that takes place in Ann Arbor, MI in December! Submit an abstract, bring a soup, taste soups, talk soup. Participants are provided with a small jar and spoon so that they can walk around, sample soups, and talk to fellow soup makers. After the meeting a conference proceedings is made with all the submitted recipes, stories, and the names of the soup makers behind them. Deli containers are also provided for taking soup home.
Wait, I have to submit an abstract? What?!
I'd been missing a good ol' conference, so yes, all soups are required submit an abstract. Our "organizers" put together a Program & Schedule based on the abstracts for soups that folks are bringing and the stories behind them. Submissions open November 1 and close November 25 @ 11:59 EDT. Accepted Submissions will be notified of the location and final timing of the conference and will be provided a Program & Schedule.
