Global Challenge Expedition & Adventures in Mission's
To make an impact in the local community by providing at least one meal a day to over 1000 children. We want to have a place where teams from GCEX and AIM can make a difference among the locals.
Check out these photos for the work in progress. The foundation is FINISHED!!!
In the community at Ocean View there are hundreds of shacks and thousands of hungry children. The community has no running water, no bathrooms, and no waste management. On a government allowance, a family of 8 receives 50 rand ($3.38 usd)/day.
Our base goal is to provide at least one nutritional meal a day for 100 children. For most children it will be their only meal.
Our end goal is to provide 3 meals a day for all the children under age 12.
The total cost of the soup kitchen and the needs to finish building. ie cement, bricks, counters, flooring, paint, gas, pots, and cutlery.
Once the building is completed we will need monthly support to supply food for each meal.
