For the October General Conference Leadership meeting we are producing some videos that show how members have experienced the “joy of being bound to the Savior through covenants and ordinances” and how they have helped others do the same “through the principles of love, share, invite.”
We are searching the globe for stories of how members have experienced the above. Members who provide these stories:
· Need to reflect the joy that comes from keeping covenants and serving others (see 1 Nephi 11:21-23)
· Are actively sharing the Gospel with friends or family or returning members based on the principles of love, share, invite.
· Preferably are having or had these experiences (within the last six to eight months).
· Their experiences may be in process and those they are preparing may not have had covenant experiences such as baptism, regular sacrament meeting attendance, temple attendance, etc. We do want a few stories that are in process)
· Will need to be reasonably comfortable sharing their experiences with a general church leader or video crew member.
· Are to be in the following age groups:
o Children (ages 9 to 11)
o Youth (ages 12 to 17)
o Young adults (ages 18 to 27)
o Adults (ages 27 and older)
These stories may include sharing the gospel with friends or family who are not members of the Church, helping less-active members return to the covenant path, helping new members stay on the covenant path and become self-reliant (perhaps through a Self-Reliance Course). They may be told from the perspective of a leader, a parent, other family member, friend and so forth (a mix would be nice).
Can you please pass this request for experiences on to your ward? Perhaps your Missionary Council could be asked to follow up with members of your unit who have stories they could share.

WHAT
Appear via pre-recorded digital means in the Leadership Meeting broadcast held in conjunction with October General Conference. Those selected will be interviewed by one of the following leaders and the video of that interview will be shown in the broadcast.

· Elder Quentin L. Cook
· Elder David A. Bednar
· Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Submit an application following the guidelines below. We will let those selected know in the next couple of weeks if they have been selected for participation.
WHEN
Selected stories will be captured virtually (via Zoom or other remote technology) or with a film crew, in person, during the first couple of weeks of August. The time for the interview with the general Church leader is to be determined later on.
WHERE
The majority of filming will be done virtually, with the possibility of a small film crew coming to your home and/or community to capture your story.
TO APPLY
1. Record yourself telling your experience with the principles of Love, Share, Invite
a. Make sure your face is well-lit so we can see you.
b. Make sure the sound is good so we can hear you.
c. You can use any kind of video camera, including a phone camera.
2. Upload your video to a file sharing site, or a shared folder. (YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) Copy the URL of your uploaded video.
a. Make sure your video is not password protected or listed as “private.”
b. On YouTube, you can use the “unlisted” setting and only those with the link will be able to see it.

a. Be informed that we will ask for personal information, such as you name and age, as well as contact information on the form.
b. There is a field on the form for you to input or paste the URL of your submission video. OR you may upload a written document.
