Hi, I am Soumya Mukherjee. I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics at Pennsylvania State University.

My current research interests include Representation Learning, Theory of Deep Learning, Statistical Physics, Statistical Learning Theory, Nonparametric Statistics, Kernel Methods and Differential Privacy.

One of my primary areas of interest is the incorporation of feature learning into kernel methods. I am also highly interested in the generalization properties of trained large-scale models (Deep Neural Networks, LLMs) from a theoretically rigorous viewpoint.
