While it has always been difficult for Berith to feel anything, even at a young age she found purpose in being helpful. Because of that, much of her self worth has come to rely on her worth to others.

If Berith sees something only once, she can recall a great deal about it when she needs to. This is helpful not just on the battlefield, but also when students and staff lose items.

Berith often expresses herself through physical actions over words. She enjoys sparring, whether with blades or hand-to-hand, and using it as a chance to both know her partner and hone her skills.

Having grown up being unable to express herself, Berith finds it difficult to connect with others. This leaves her with subpar social skills as she learns to navigate the world around her.

Years of training has honed her instincts to react without thinking. Unfortunately, this can often place her in a tight spot.

Having lived an untraditional childhood, there is much about the world that Berith does not know or understand. It's awakened a ravenous curiosity in her.

Berith is twin to Byleth, who took up the position of professor while she became a knight under her father's command. The two hold fragments of Sothis's consciousness and have formed an extremely close bond in part due to her desire to become whole. 

When the two become trapped in the dark void, Berith is able to relinquish her part of Sothis and make her whole again, only for the Sothis to then merge with Byleth so that they may escape.

Berith spends the 5 years searching for her brother with Claude.
