Rather than the absence of fear, courage is the knowledge that something else is more important. For Link, this is the safety of Hyrule and all that reside there. It's their smiles he wants to protect. His destiny was never asked for, but it falls to him nonetheless.

Give him a task, set him a goal, and Link will accomplish it. With his singular devotion to weaponry and his destiny as the Hero of Time, at times Link has started to see himself as a tool. He is happy to serve, but sometimes wonders what his life might have been like otherwise.

It can be rare, but Link is quite expressive. He naturally gestures when he speaks and can get animated with certain topics. However, when he remembers the expectations placed on him, he becomes somber.

As a master of so many weapons, Link has become accustomed to rigorous schedules and training regiments. Practice and repetition hone the actions into muscle memory, giving him an edge in combat where he can react flawlessly without a second thought. It's a talent born from centuries of practice and battle.

In his heart, Link truly wants to help others. He has no problem going out of his way to lend his abilities to those in most need of them. Sometimes this lands him in hard situations.

Breath of the Wild.
In the past, Link served as Zelda’s knight in the events leading up to Calamity Ganon’s return. When their initial attack fails, he is sealed away to recover from his near-fatal injuries. He awakens 100 years later to the world in ruins and monsters roaming. He sets out to reclaim the Divine Beasts and the Master Sword so that he can help Zelda and defeat Ganon. Afterward, the two must rebuild Hyrule.

When the city of Arlathan reigned, Link served as a knight. In the days leading up to the placement of the Veil, Link would see the fall of his society before becoming gravely injured. The only one capable of wielding a certain sword, he was put into a magic sleep and he was meant to be waken when his wounds had healed and he could try to undo what had been done. Now, thousands of years later, he has awoken with no memory of the past and in a land now much different from his own. He travels in search of his purpose but finds the world rarely treats elves kindly.

Born a bosmer in 3E 385. He fulfilled the prophecy of the Nerevarine in 3E 427. He brought the three houses of Morrowind together and defeated Dagoth Ur, as well as went on to fight Almalexia and Vivec. After contracting Corprus and negating its negative side effects, he now finds himself with immunity to diseases and with apparent immortality. He leaves Morrowind after fulfilling the prophecy and travels Tamriel.
