Amanda plays sorority rush chair Gwen, who's gunning for Lucy's Katie Parker to join the Delta house, seeing as their mothers (played by Courtney Thorne-Smith and Faith Ford) founded the popular sorority. But when Katie learns about Delta's dirty ways, she defects, pledging Kappa instead. And as you can imagine from the movie's title, a battle breaks out (and we're not talking about a pillow fight here) between the rival houses.
In the clip above, Katie arrives on campus and meets conniving Gwen who informs her that she's a shoe-in for a Delta spot (she is a legacy, after all) and even offers to be her "big sister." We'll bet our sorority pin those feelings don't last long.
Katie (Lucy Hale) and Sara (Phoebe Strole) have been friends since childhood. They enter college together, where Katie is a prized legacy candidate for the Delta sorority, which was co-founded decades ago by her mother, Lutie (Courtney Thorne-Smith) and Summer (Faith Ford), whose own daughter Gwen (Amanda Schull) now leads the Deltas on campus. Events occur during pledge week to cause a rift between Katie and the Deltas, which leaves Sara as a Delta pledge and Katie out in the cold. Katie joins the rival Kappa sorority, and the rivalry splits not just Katie and Sara, but extends all the way into the Delta alumnae association led by Lutie and Summer.

Katie Snow begins her college education and must choose a dorm. It's already a foregone conclusion for Katie as her best friend and her mother founded the popular Delta sorority. Because of a drug war in the border city, nearly 2,000 people have been killed there this year, including 15 on Nov. 14. Consequently, the disappearing and murdered women have received less attention, a situation the sorority wanted to correct.
While her studies, her sorority and other school activities would seem to fill her schedule, Molina also works part-time at Covidien, a health-care products maker near Niwot; teaches English to adults at Intercambio in Longmont; and serves on the board of directors for El Comite, a Longmont agency that advocates for Hispanics.
