I am Professor at the Department of Economics at Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway (since 1998). I served a six years term as the Director General at the Norwegian Competition Authority (2016-22), and I have also been the chief economist at the Norwegian Competition Authority (2004-07 and 2015). I am the director of BECCLE (Bergen Center for Competition Law and Economics). Recently I was the leader of the Energy Commission, which submitted its white paper (NOU 2023:3) in February 2023.
