V: MYTH & MAGIC

– this verse contains merlin as he has been seen in the bbc show and inspiration from the legends. in modern times he is the high warlock of london, keeping an eye on things and helping people when they ask him for help.

V: HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF

– in this verse, he finds all of his friends again. it's as if history repeats itself and merlin has to make sure that what happened to arthur and everyone else he knew doesn't happen again.

V: UNITING ALBION

– in this verse, merlin reunites with king arthur and together they unite albion.

V: IN THE FIELDS

– things go south in camelot and when arthur suggests that they go on the run, merlin ends up going with him. together they find a small farming village where arthur puts merlin to work (no surprise there) and they live a quiet life out on the fields.

V: BORN TO ENDLESS NIGHT

– in this verse, merlin has become a vampire and must live with the struggle of who he is now. he tries his best to take animal blood over human blood as the normal option he isn't something he agrees well with.

V: KINGDOM COME

– this verse is inspired by the fanmade season 6 of bbc merlin which you can find here on tumblr or in audiobook form on youtube.

V: COURT PHYSICIAN

– this verse merlin is not arthur's manservant, but fully accepts the duties of gaius's apprentice. later on he becomes the new court physician.

V: I WOULD TRAVEL A THOUSAND WORLDS TO GET TO YOU

– in this verse, arthur has died. merlin has begged the lady of the lake to send him to arthur, wherever he is. thus she sends him to arthur in another universe and in another timeline. merlin has to adapt there and accept the changes that come with time and universe travel

V: A HEALERS HEART

– this is merlin's modern / non-past related verse. he becomes a doctor / pediatrician and works with his uncle sometimes too. his mother runs a shop that holds goods from their small farm and he helped out there a lot before getting his doctorate.

V: HEAVY IS THE HEAD THAT WEARS THE CROWN

– merlin is the prince of ealdor, a farming kingdom that provides much produce to other kingdoms. when visiting other kingdoms, his people are careful not to use magic as they know most do not welcome it. merlin is a kind hearted prince and is known to charm many. he is sometimes seen as something of a show off because of his magic. he enjoys studying and exploring nearby caves.

V: ONCE UPON A TIME

– this verse is based on once upon a time, the abc show and doesn't follow their version of arthurian legend. instead, this merlin finds himself in storybrook like everyone else, but he does have his memories. he just pretends that he doesn't and helps out where he can when poeple start remembering who they are. merlin works at the hospital as a doctor.

V: I JUST WANT SOMEONE TO SEE ME FOR WHO I AM

– this verse is very similar to the main verse, except in modern form. though instead of having grown up on a farm, he grew up in his mother's florist shop in the small town of ealdor. still with his magical gifts, he was sent to camelot, one of the five kingdoms part of the united kingdom, to learn under his uncle gaius's tutelage.

V: HAND OF THE KING

– got inspired verse where camelot is one of the kingdoms. similar story for both, merlin is the manservant of king arthur, later on becoming hand of the king and court sorcerer depending on how involved magic is in the storyline.

V: CORPORALKI

– grishaverse: merlin is of the corporalki order, more focused on the healing ability, though he can perform heartrending and tailoring abilities too. in this, merlin in unique, but does his best to keep those extra tid bits about himself to himself. he works for the little palace, going on missions for whomever is in charge, namely the darkling. when a suspected grisha is among the noble line of pendragons, merlin is sent out to go under cover to work for them and hopefully bring back arthur to the little palace where his gifts can be honed. it will not be easy to do that as the pendragon family is anti-grisha and popular in ketterdam. merlin blends in as a servant for the family and becomes arthur's personal servant while on this mission.
